The Society
The Primary Care Neurology Society is a growing organisation of likeminded healthcare professionals, organisations and partnering companies who all share an interest in improving neurology care within primary care.
The Societies aims are:
- to stimulate greater interest in neurology amongst professionals with an interest in and/or working primary care
- to support the development and provision of high quality neurology education and information services to professionals interested/working in primary care
- to support the interface and communication between Primary and Secondary Care Neurology Service
in order to enhance the delivery and quality of care to people with suspected and confirmed neurological conditions and optimise their quality of life.
The P-CNS works in partnership with professional
and patient organisations to support the education of Primary
Care Professionals (PCPs) and Practitioners with Special Interest
(PwSIs), especially GPs, wishing to focus on improving their
knowledge of neurological
conditions to support improved access to neurology services.
Launched in April 2005 and now with nearly 1600
professionals (from across the UK and abroad) registered with the
Society, the P-CNS has become the leading voice for supporting
neurology care in Primary Care.
